HSB 690 /SSB 3122 both passed out of their respective committees in the Iowa State Assembly yesterday and are heading to their chamber’s floor for a vote in the coming weeks. The legislation expands newborn screening in Iowa to ensure that all federal Recommended Uniform Screening Panel (RUSP) conditions are added to the screening panel in a reasonable amount of time.
The Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders supported this initiative by being one of the organizations that joined the sign-on letter.
